Jarred Vanderbilt is reportedly hoping to return to the floor for the legendary Los Angeles Lakers early next month, according to Jovan Buha of The Athletic.

Buha stated, “I’ve heard the Lakers are targeting early April,” in reference to Vanderbilt’s possible comeback. “I’m not sure exactly when it will happen—is it April 2nd? Is April 9th, correct? However, the Lakers are attempting to have Vando back sometime in the first week or week and a half of April. They are attempting to get him back so he can play in at least three or four games before the season concludes on April 14. He has been traveling with the team, which is encouraging.

The Lakers might stand to gain a lot from Vanderbilt’s defensive presence, based on their March defensive statistics. Los Angeles is giving up an astounding 119.1 points per game since the beginning of the month, which is the fourth-highest of any NBA team during that time.

This mоnth, оnly the Utah Jazz, Tоrоntо Raptоrs, and Washingtоn Wizards have allоwed mоre pоints per game. With a recоrd оf 14-59, the Wizards are the secоnd-wоrst team in the NBA this seasоn, and all three teams are way оut оf the pоstseasоn picture in their respective cоnferences.

To their credit, though, the Lakers have been playing excellent basketball lately. Since losing to the Golden State Warriors on March 16, or about two weeks ago, Los Angeles has won each of its last five games.

During its current winning streak, Los Angeles has won by double digits thrice.

The team’s next opportunity to extend its winning run will come on Friday when it takes on the Indiana Pacers. The Pacers, who had a strong 6-4 record over their previous ten games, were defeated on March 27 by the Chicago Bulls in their most recent game.
